As a Level II Machine Operator, you'll be part of our manufacturing team, producing fluid-system components that meet the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for an entry-level machinist who is eager to learn, can work independently, maintain high quality production standards, and recognize when additional support is needed while maintaining a strong focus on safety. You’ll be provided all the tools and gauges necessary to be successful in your role. You'll have the opportunity to learn every day, continuously expanding your technical knowledge gaining experience working on a variety of machines producing various parts in a clean, modern, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic math skills, adding and subtracting fractions and decimals.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Machining experience or mechanical background
  • Experience in a manufacturing production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to work overtime hours as needed

Responsibilities

  • Participating in a daily shift start-up meeting with your team, giving or receiving a shift handoff report.
  • Operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment according to standard work instructions.
  • Following standard work instructions and quality plans according to specs.
  • Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, ring gauges, dial indicators, smart gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Monitoring machine outputs, identifying quality, machining, tooling, and process issues and escalating to support associates to resume production.
  • Completing preventative maintenance and routine machine care.
  • Documenting production activities accurately and maintaining manufacturing records.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures.
