Machine Operator Level 1
About The Position
The Machine Operator Level 1 demonstrates the ability to run a variety of parts and execute the start/stop function safely, efficiently, and in a manner conscientious of quality. This role requires the ability to work unsupervised. The operator can follow work instructions on a variety of parts using tools such as a tape measure and calipers. They are responsible for preventing rejects from escaping their area and immediately reporting or addressing any failures. The operator must demonstrate and explain the proper use of Work Standard Instructions (WSI) and understand each step. They must show adherence to each step of the WSI and provide feedback when a process cannot be performed according to the WSI. Additionally, the operator must be able to write legibly and record accurate information on all paperwork in real-time as parts are being produced. Following all WSI and safety guidelines, the operator must be able to efficiently remove parts from the machine and restart.
