Requirements

  • 6+ months’ experience in a manufacturing environment, equivalent combinations or education and experience accepted OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position.
  • Internships and PT experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Manually inspecting completed parts and packing them into boxes for shipping.
  • Sealing boxes, printing labels, and stacking boxes on pallets.
  • Operating molding machines in a safe manner.
  • Set-up station with the correct process inspection documents, screens, and/or workflow instructions.
  • Package and label product in accordance with the standard operating procedure.
  • Documents production, calculating the number of products inspected and rejected.
  • Communicate any process problems to the Process Technician/Shift Supervisor/Group Lead.
  • Fill out Quality hourly paperwork.
  • In-process Inspection: Inspection consists of frequent examination of the visual attributes of each product (discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination sinks, splay, delamination, etc.).
  • Packing: Preparation includes transferring the product from catch bins or boxes into shipping containers, transporting the product to the shipping area, properly weighing, properly completing and affixing correct label to container using SAP, preparing and supplying new or used boxes to the molding presses and stacking finished product correctly on pallet.
  • Sorts and Reworks: Sorting and/or reworking products that do not conform to the customer requirements. Properly documents and labels to identify the status of non-conforming products. Sampling and gaging of reject product may also be required.
  • Reads and interprets the manufacturing process instructions, visual aids/drawings (e.g. microscope and magnifying lenses).
  • Follows specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.
