We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of machinery used in our production processes. The ideal candidate will ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently, contributing to the smooth and precise operation of our manufacturing line. Join our team and play a key role in maintaining the high standards of our production capabilities. This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Work from Engineering requirements, drawings, specifications, operation plans, standard work, JIS, wiring schematics, verbal instructions, and blueprints
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering teams
  • Visually inspect work for defects, machine performance issues, and incorrect materials
  • Complete documents such as time cards, route cards, parts requisitions, and other required forms depending on the area
  • Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and electrical/calibration devices (gauging)
  • Follow prescribed procedures and operational sequences
  • Identify discrepancies between blueprints and work instructions when present
  • Train new personnel in Machine Operator functions
  • Perform machine setups and assemblies
  • Work as part of a team with supervisors, Engineering, and shop floor planners to address priorities
  • Propose alternatives to reduce setup time (set-up reduction) and support continuous production
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality
  • Produce the required amount of high-quality work
  • Follow safety and organization rules and practices in the work area
  • Accurately report completed work
  • Maintain equipment and surrounding areas clean and organized
  • Participate in scheduled EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) trainings
  • Actively support organizational efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans
  • Recommend improvements to EH&S practices
  • Demonstrate basic to moderate knowledge and skills in areas such as programming, diagnostics, and maintenance of assigned equipment
  • Role requires increased interaction with technical departments such as Engineering and Facilities
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned
  • An essential function of this role is the ability to accurately see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a post offer vision examination
