Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • 1 year of manufacturing or related experience is required
  • Meet DEA security security clearance requirements if requested.

Nice To Haves

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 kgs and operate a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

  • Manufactures a quality fill material for use in encapsulation by applying multiple types of equipment and processes to accomplish this.
  • Works efficiently with minimal downtime to ensure the accurate medicine and gelatin are produced to ensure Encapsulation machines operate in a timely manner, observing all SOPs.
  • Observes moving equipment, attends safety training, and follows safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Checks lot numbers, weights, raw material lot numbers, part numbers, and expiration dates.
  • Compares printouts and labels with the batch production record (BPR).
  • Follows procedures as detailed in the BPR without deviation.
  • Reads and adheres to workplace policies, procedures, and guidelines including SOPs, BPRs, cGMPs, MSDS, various departmental documents, employee handbook, and company bulletins.
  • Ensures all documentation in official records are accurately written, and errors are corrected in accordance with SOP, accurately initialed and dated.
  • Performs all cleaning in medicine area and perform all equipment cleaning in the medicine department in accordance with WI.
  • Accurate and safe use of all medicine equipment in accordance with WIs for each piece of equipment.
  • Safely use general equipment such as pallet jacks and hoists.
  • Performs mixing for medicine for specified time; make documentation on BPR; and take to dispensing area.
  • As directed by BPR acquire fill samples and transport them to the medicine office for further disposition.
  • An entry is made into the designated logbook and the samples are stored or delivered to the QC lab.
  • Retrieve all raw materials from gray zone in warehouse with the aid of a pallet jack.
  • Perform yield and manufacturing loss calculations in the BPR.
  • Ensures the accurate medicine is brought into the dispensing staging area.
  • Performs cleaning as required.
  • Cleans mixer and hand paddle.
  • Perform other business-related duties as needed.
  • Manufacture simple and complex medicines.
