Machine Operator II
About The Position
The Machine Operator II is responsible for operating production equipment according to all facility safety and quality standards. This role involves operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment, selecting appropriate settings, and adjusting them as necessary. The operator will control and adjust machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Responsibilities also include loading and unloading material to and from equipment, inspecting parts using precision measuring tools and for visual defects, and cleaning machines and the work area. The role requires adherence to all safe work practices and quality standards, as well as collaboration with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4 Years Manufacturing Experience, specifically with CNC machines.
Responsibilities
- Operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment.
- Selecting appropriate settings and adjusting them as necessary.
- Controlling and adjusting machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
- Loading & unloading material to and from equipment according to prescribed methods.
- Inspecting parts using precision measuring tools and for visual defects and/or certification marks.
- Cleaning machines & work area throughout and at end of shift.
- Following all safe work practices & safety rules.
- Following established quality standards.
- Working collaboratively with team members, team leaders and others to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
