Requirements

  • Adherence to health and safety policies/procedures, GMPs, and wearing required PPE.
  • Understanding of SQF and HACCP.
  • Ability to read and comprehend production schedules.
  • Ability to monitor machine flow, supply raw materials, and perform minor servicing.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures for production and changeovers.
  • Ability to read imperial and metric measurements.
  • Accurate record-keeping for production, quality, and downtime.
  • Ability to perform equipment and area sanitation.
  • Ability to identify raw material defects.
  • Ability to understand visual and auditory cues for machine issues.
  • Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and preventive maintenance.

  • May assist in training new employees.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by leadership including but not limited to cross training, general and plant sanitation, inventory management, training, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to food quality and food safety standards as per corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (e.g., SQF).
  • Possess a practical understanding of SQF and HACCP and address related inquiries.
  • Read, comprehend, and adhere to a production manufacturing schedule, communicate issues or deviations, and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain production flow of machine(s) by monitoring downstream and upstream issues, supplying raw materials, and performing minor servicing.
  • Follow all Quality Assurance and Production line standard operating procedures.
  • Perform equipment changeovers following standard operating procedures, reading imperial and metric measurements.
  • Accurately record all necessary information for production and quality records, including downtime reports and documentation.
  • Perform equipment and general sanitation in the work area or as assigned.
  • Collaborate with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, and reduce waste.
  • Accurately identify raw material defects that could impact production quality, reduce efficiencies, and increase waste.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Understand visual and auditory cues to identify production or machine-related issues.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance as well as daily and weekly preventive maintenance.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by leadership, including cross-training, general and plant sanitation, inventory management, and training.
