About The Position
Operates injection molding machines, extruder, spin welder, assembles reels and spools, finishes product and packages for shipment.
Requirements
- Computer knowledge.
- Must be able to read, write and count to fill out paperwork correctly.
- Attention to detail is important for quality.
- Good dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
Responsibilities
- Opening and closing machine doors and reaching to remove parts.
- Trimming and sanding of plastic parts using a variety of trimming and cutting tools.
- Gluing and assembly of plastic parts using solvents and/or nuts, bolts, and an air wrench.
- Inspecting parts for defects and correcting as needed.
- Palletizing and/or boxing parts for shipment.
- Counting and stacking parts.
- Grinding rejects and sprues.
- Refilling required supplies for next shift, i.e., solvent, inserts, boxes cardboard.
- Keeping work area clean and free of safety hazards.
- Filling out production paperwork, inventory tags and labels daily.
- Working overtime as needed.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
