About The Position

Operates production lines, including simple machines and palletizers, to manufacture hygiene products in accordance with established specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). As a member of the shift team, the Machine Operator II is responsible for ensuring optimal machine performance, monitoring and meeting KPI metrics, and completing accurate data entry and production reporting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 + years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with full responsibility for equipment operation and machine KPIs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with machine loss analysis and performance monitoring
  • Ability to train and mentor other operators
  • Experience participating in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving processes

Responsibilities

  • Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others too
  • Run the machine and watch the process and if necessary adjust according to Essity Continuous Improvement Systems.
  • Consult with Team Leader or skilled operators if required.
  • Order and prepare raw materials / or products for palletizing and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain an adequate communication with previous and next shift as well as with other persons involved in running the machine
  • Maintain an optimal housekeeping situation
  • Support others in operating activities
  • Secure the quality level of the products by regular checking against the product specification rejecting or blocking if necessary
  • Complete all required documentation and data files during production
