Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Precision Tools and Measuring
  • Forklift certification, if applicable
  • Quality Metric: Scrap Dollars Rejected and/or reworked parts
  • Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department
  • Demonstrate ability to use measuring equipment for specific department
  • Take Minimum Qualifications Test with a desired score of 70% or better
  • Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance

  • Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance: Press brakes, CNC punches, and laser machines (if applicable)
  • Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with assistance
  • Demonstrate ability to produce quality parts within acceptable scrap rate
  • Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department
  • Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs)
