Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 2–4 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience, or demonstrated proficiency as a Machine Operator I
Experience performing machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers
Experience operating computer-assisted or automated production equipment
Experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality documentation requirements

Nice To Haves

Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, machining, industrial technology, or a related field is a plus
Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

Operate production equipment while maintaining established safety, quality, and productivity standards
Perform machine setups, adjustments, changeovers, and routine operator preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment readiness and reliable production
Read and interpret manufacturing work instructions, work orders, specifications, and quality requirements
Conduct first-piece inspections and verify machine settings meet established production and quality standards prior to beginning production runs
Monitor equipment performance, production output, downtime, and scrap; perform intermediate troubleshooting and collaborate with Maintenance and other support teams to resolve equipment issues
Verify product quality throughout the manufacturing process and ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing specifications
Follow established quality system procedures, including product traceability requirements, line clearance procedures, and escalation of nonconforming product or process deviations
Support shift handoffs by communicating production status, equipment conditions, quality concerns, and production priorities
Train, coach, and provide hands-on support to Machine Operator I employees on equipment operation, standard work, quality expectations, safety requirements, and best practices
Identify and report safety hazards, quality concerns, equipment issues, and process deviations, taking appropriate action within the scope of the role
Promote workplace organization through 5S, safety compliance, Lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement initiatives
Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, product quality, workflow efficiency, and waste reduction, and assist with implementation of approved improvements
Support production leadership by assisting with daily production priorities, workflow coordination, and operational needs
