Requirements

  • Lift up to 55 lbs. on an occasional basis 6 inches off Ground to Waist.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs. on an occasional basis Waist to Shoulder.
  • Carry up to 55 lbs. on an occasional basis up to 5 ft.
  • Able to pull a 55lb bag from a height of 60 inches on an occasional basis.
  • Able to successfully perform setups on manufacturing machines assigned to.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English fluently.
  • Knowledge of or familiar with GMP’s/HACCP.
  • Required 1 year of food environment or consumer product experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 6 months of experience operating PIT.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall operations and leadership of different types of manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintaining and adjusting machines during operations and downtime cleaning activities.
  • Understanding the differences in powders and performing procedures associated with allergen and flavor cleans.
  • Filling out paper reports correctly and clearly (parts, allergen clean and flavor change sheets, safety audits, etc.).
  • Loading, unloading, moving, counting/picking, stacking and staging product and materials using a sit down forklift, stand-up forklift, or other MHE as required.
  • Performing Root Cause Analysis on the machines.
  • Training new hires to ensure new talent shares company values.
  • Supporting and abiding by the company’s safety program and all safety initiatives, policies and procedures.
  • Reporting all injuries to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Ensuring plant personnel practice safe work habits and follow safety rules.
  • Ensuring that work procedures are being followed in a consistent manner (Safety, Quality, GMP, MAV, HACCP).
  • Knowing and understanding lock out/tag procedures in the department.
  • Performing safety inspections and being aware of all the safety points on the machines and/or MHE.
  • Communicating with the appropriate Leadership if issues arise in regards to safety and/or quality issues.
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): lab coat, safety shoes, safety glasses, bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, and nitrile gloves.
  • Troubleshooting issues before making adjustments on the machines after training is completed.
  • Working with the maintenance department on improvements.
  • Changing parts of the machines to operate with different types of products.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
