The Machine Operator II - Auto Insertion is responsible for loading materials into machines for production, adjusting machine speeds during production and inspecting the parts produced.

Requirements

  • Team members will be required to attend various training classes to ensure adequate knowledge of company specific information, customer, regulatory, and other requirements as determined by job process, Standard operating procedures or other elements as required
  • The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities for operation of machines, including visual inspection, using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes
  • Ability or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and have good judgment
  • Expected to exhibit high ethical standards and promote the same within the company
  • Perform all job duties in accordance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and established procedures
  • Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Participating in safety training
  • Immediately reporting unsafe conditions or incidents
  • Stopping work when unsafe conditions exist
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Actively contributing to the prevention of workplace injuries and accidents
  • Requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • The Team Member is required to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • operate Automated component placement machines, which includes understanding the sequence of events, the control panel and indicators, and component replenishment
  • set-up machines, make adjustments and perform component set-up
  • complete machine adjustments per the Manufacturing Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
  • use the computer to load programs and perform other functions on the machines
  • apply basic computer user for finding stock locations, part availability, and “where used” inquiries
  • identify different component types and their polarity/orientation requirements
  • troubleshoot and perform minor repairs for normal functioning
  • follow procedures for handling and storing moisture sensitive devices (MSDs)
  • identify work order, assembly number, and revision level of assembly from manufacturing instructions
  • disposition NCM per appropriate procedures
  • perform 1st piece work inspection of team members
  • pull parts from stockroom and overflow locations based on pick list
  • perform troubleshooting for normal functioning
  • utilize SDS sheets to review safety requirements
  • general machine cleaning and upkeep and adjust machine for optimum performance
