About The Position

The Machine Operator I - 3rd Shift position is located at Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division in Troy, IL. The core hours are Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., with potential for mandatory overtime. The hourly rate starts at $24.87 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential, with a wage progression to $26.61 per hour after 10 months. Salary is based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. Requirements

A minimum of six(6) months Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of two(2) years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
Experience with calibration equipment such as calipers
Prior SAP experience.
Proficient with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

Operate sheet metal fabrication machines
Read shop orders
Read and understand engineering drawings
Perform quality checks
Use calibration equipment such as calipers, or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions
Work with flat sheet metal (steel and aluminum)
Run various machine operations (brake press, hammer flanger, buffalo roller, hand scribing & hand sheering)
