About The Position

Amcor's first priority is to ensure the safety of our co-workers. The Zecchetti Operator must safely operate the various packaging equipment on a 12-hour shift and ensure that both quality and productivity meet Amcor standards. This position must reach and maintain blow or injection level 2 skill sets and have the ability to train new downstream employees as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior production related experience preferred
  • Able to effectively communicate safety, quality and production issues
  • Able to work quickly and complete tasks in a fast-paced production environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with ability to work individually and as a team
  • Must be willing to work any shift

Responsibilities

  • Safety first - be aware of and abide by company safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Complete quality checks as required and communicate quality issues to the Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor and Quality Department
  • Maintain a high degree of housekeeping at all time, keeping equipment and work area clean and organized
  • Ensure equipment is in good and safe working condition and communicate to the Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor and Maintenance when mechanical issues arise.
  • Effectively run the all palletizers, primarily but not limited to the Zecchetti palletizing equipment, as well as strappers, wrappers, and conveyors.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and hand in at the end of shift
  • Effectively navigates and uses Amcor’s barcoding and quality data systems
  • Attend daily shift meetings and training as required
  • Achieves and maintains a level 2 blow mold and/or injection mold skillset
  • Can effectively train all downstream operators and temporary employees as needed
  • Complete all other tasks assigned
