About The Position

Glanbia Performance Nutrition is hiring entry-level and experienced manufacturing team members for a Machine Operator I role in packaging. The role involves operating manufacturing equipment, maintaining and adjusting machines during production, and performing cleaning activities during downtime. Employees work with powders and known allergens in a production-floor environment, remain active while moving materials, troubleshoot defects, and take responsibility for product quality. The position also requires completing paper reports and following safety practices and established work procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. occasionally from ground to waist, lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally from waist to shoulder, carry up to 55 lbs. occasionally for up to 5 feet, and pull a 55 lb. bag from a height of 60 inches on an occasional basis.
• Ability to successfully perform setups on assigned manufacturing machines.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
• Basic math and computer skills, including using the SAP system and RF scan guns.
• Ability to operate a machine and change over parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned manufacturing equipment and perform machine setups.
• Maintain and adjust machines during operations and downtime cleaning activities.
• Change over machine parts.
• Work with powders and known allergens, including milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanut, and tree nut.
• Move materials on the production floor and remain continually active.
• Troubleshoot defects and take ownership of product quality.
• Complete paper reports clearly and correctly, including parts, allergen clean, flavor change, and safety audit sheets.
• Wear required personal protective equipment.
• Follow safety practices and ensure consistent adherence to work procedures for Safety, Quality, GMP, MAV, and HACCP.
