About The Position

The Rotational Molding Operator is responsible for setting up and operating rotational molding machines to produce high-quality plastic containers and custom products while supporting daily manufacturing operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the consistent production of goods that meet Pelican's high standards for durability and performance. The operator will work with various types of machinery and materials, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the manufacturing floor.

Requirements

• Ability to follow safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines
• Experience operating machinery and production equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15). A U.S. Person includes a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), or individual granted asylum or refugee status in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• One year of plastic molding or similar machine operation experience preferred
• One year operating plastic molding machine or similar machinery operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate rotational molding machines with minimal supervision
• Follow written and verbal work instructions and manufacturing procedures
• Set up and service molds while monitoring machine controls and product quality
• Perform secondary operations on molded products as needed
• Use powered and manual hand tools, hoists, gantries, and production equipment
• Read basic blueprints and manufacturing work orders
• Maintain quality standards and production records
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized, and safe
• Assist with training and sharing technical knowledge with team members
• Actively supports and complies with Pelican’s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality, Safety, Environment and Quality with an emphasis on continual improvement.
• Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
• Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
• Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
• Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
