About The Position

Machine Operator I is an entry-level member of the production team and will operate a variety of complex machines, complete processing tasks to support the production floor. This position will also produce or build product to support customer demand, operate tools & equipment, inspect in-process components, and complete documentation as required. All Machine Operators shall always perform their activities with Safety, Quality, and Integrity.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Must be able to work with machine and tooling
  • Basic knowledge of blueprint/specifications
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English preferred
  • Lifting and moving up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work with a microscope for long periods and sit for an extended period of time
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Have the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects

Nice To Haves

  • Have good people skills and must work well with others
  • Technical knowledge of maintenance on braider, coiler and other manufacturing support equipment preferred
  • Attention to details and instructions
  • Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up, tearing down, and maintenance of laser machines
  • Ability to reference parts to blueprints and drawings
  • Operate the laser machine
  • Verify recipe programs
  • Loading and unloading bobbins or spools on machines
  • Performance in-process inspection for braiding/coil runs
  • Perform basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to understand travelers and verify materials
  • Ability to use microscope, ruler, pin gage
  • Group maintenance on all machines end of every month as required
  • Work to improve efficiencies in the department
  • Additional duties as assigned
