About The Position

Laars Heating Systems Company is seeking a Machine Operator. With little supervision, this position will set up, operate and perform simple maintenance on a variety of specialized production equipment. May sort, load, unload, check and inspect. Keep necessary records, reports rejects and failure patterns. Works to sketches, diagrams, drawings, written and verbal instructions. Maintain a quality focus while maintaining production rates. The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with Fridays as Overtime.

Requirements

Previous experience in the operation of high volume manufacturing equipment and the use of common hand tools.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience
Continuous standing
Frequent walking
Frequent pushing/pulling
Frequent upper extremity use
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate and perform simple maintenance on a variety of specialized production equipment.
Sort, load, unload, check and inspect.
Keep necessary records, report rejects and failure patterns.
Work to sketches, diagrams, drawings, written and verbal instructions.
Maintain a quality focus while maintaining production rates.
Understand written and verbal instructions.
Read and interpret basic blueprints.
Respond appropriately to system, process, or material problems.
Perform required inventory functions (e.g. inquiries, updates, transactions, certs).
Follow SOP’s using correct materials and tools.
Perform required tasks for product changeover and startup.
Set-up machine.
Understand all job hazards, demonstrate safe behaviors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
