About The Position

The Machine Operator I - ECG is responsible for operating ECG (Electrode Cardio Graph) machines and Herma labeling machines. This role involves packing product in an in-line packaging operation, performing light maintenance on machinery, interpreting shop paperwork and drawings, and completing quality paperwork in compliance with FDA regulations. The operator will also conduct quality inspections, assist with material movement, and manage manufacturing processes for assigned equipment with a focus on productivity, quality, safety, and housekeeping. Effective communication with team members, including other operators, packers, team leads, water spiders, and supervisors, is crucial for addressing production issues and recommending improvements. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Previous Machine Operations experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Bend and lift 45+ pounds without assistance

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate ECG (Electrode Cardio Graph) machines.
  • Set up and operate Herma labeling machine.
  • Pack product in an in-line packaging operation.
  • Perform light maintenance duty on the machine (die changes, station alignments, etc.).
  • Interpret shop paperwork and drawings (read and calculate).
  • Complete necessary quality paperwork per FDA regulations.
  • Perform quality inspections as needed.
  • Assist in movement of materials as needed.
  • Manage the manufacturing processes associated with the assigned equipment with an emphasis on productivity, quality, safety, and good housekeeping, directing the work of packers as needed.
  • Communicate with other Machine Operators, Packers, Team Leads, Water Spider, and Supervisors on production issues, needs, and recommendations to improve production effectiveness and efficiency, including safety recommendations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
