The Baker is responsible for ensuring that the product coming out of the oven is properly baked and meets set specifications. This role involves informing the mixing supervisor of any product not meeting specification and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The position requires adherence to production schedules, setting up ovens, making dough weight adjustments, and assisting with product changeovers. Recording product check information, reading various measurement tools, and performing oven adjustments are key duties. The Baker also helps maintain the working condition of the oven, inspects the oven band, and performs quality tests. Communication with other shifts and departments, following Good Manufacturing Principles (GMPs), and complying with safety and company regulations are essential. The role may also include setting up and maintaining icing toppers, glaze units, oilers, seasoners, and fig cutter equipment, as well as general housekeeping. The position may involve other assigned functions.
