Machine Operator - Finishing
About The Position
Signify is hiring a Machine Operator-Finishing in New Oxford, Pennsylvania. The position involves finishing sand castings by removing gating and excess material, removing cores, and keeping the work area clean and organized. The operator also participates in LEAN, safety activities, and other company initiatives. The role requires wearing personal protective equipment, following safety policies and procedures, and standing during the assigned shift. The stated work schedule is 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed. Pay is $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and other foundry personnel.
- Ability to use hand tools and large mechanical machines in the casting process.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Able to stand during the assigned shift.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.
