About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - Fabrication, Weekend Shift. The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The hours are Friday through Sunday from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. This role includes a weekend shift premium, providing 40 hours of pay for a 36‑hour schedule. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Background as a machine operator or completion of a machine operation certificate program.
  • Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication, including the use of standard punch and bend tooling and related processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing diagrams, technical drawings, and operating instructions.
  • Proficient in using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Familiarity with Eaton systems, including DMM and AS‑400.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture components using steel, aluminum, and cast metals in accordance with blueprint specifications.
  • Contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive workplace by following all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe operation of equipment, and participation in 5S practices.
  • Interpret travel documents, blueprints, and verbal or written instructions to set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment such as shears, Finn Power, Prima machines, horizontal press brakes/benders, and Trumpf lasers.
  • Maintain workflow and productivity in assigned areas, communicating any delays or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements, and perform root cause analysis to resolve quality or production issues.
  • Ensure product quality by measuring parts with tools such as tape measures and calipers, conducting visual inspections, identifying nonconforming materials, and troubleshooting errors.
  • Cross-train in other roles and provide support in different job functions as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain proper machine operation, addressing and resolving equipment issues.
  • Prepare machinery for daily use by completing appropriate setup and safety checks.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and suggest improvements to supervisors or team leads.
