Associates are required to operate die cast machines, trim presses, and all related equipment. Demonstrate the ability to perform basic quality checks and document performance on an hourly basis. Follow and adhere to safety regulations regarding the safe operation of die casting and trimming equipment. This role involves reading and comprehending standardized work instructions, completing production goals, diagnosing and performing minor repairs on machinery, operating specific equipment like ladles and recip, visually inspecting for defects, accurately entering data into production software, detecting and reporting improper operations or faulty equipment, learning new tasks and adapting to job duty changes, completing daily paperwork, and maintaining a clean work area. The position also requires compliance with company policies, participation in continuous improvement activities, teamwork, and communication with colleagues and supervisors. The ability to work in other classifications or departments as needed is also a requirement.
