About The Position

The Bernard Group is seeking Machine Operators to join their Cutting Department. This role involves operating a Zund digital die cutting machine to cut printed materials into various shapes and sizes according to exact specifications. Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Previous work experience in printing, print operations, cutting, or machine operations is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Close attention to details on every project.
• Basic computer skills, including ePace and Google.
• Self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions and solve moderate level problems independently, effectively and creatively.
• Complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards.
• Apply effective time management and self-management skills.
• Understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information.
• Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Operate Zund cutting machines to form printed materials to customer specifications.
• Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards.
• Perform maintenance of Zund machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines at the beginning of each shift.
