Machine Operator (Cut Vinyl)
About The Position
We are actively hiring for the position of Machine Operator (Cut Vinyl) for our plant in Salt Lake City, UT. This role involves operating vinyl cutters to perform kiss cutting and complete cut-outs, accurately reading and interpreting job instructions, and removing excess material surrounding graphics. The operator will also be responsible for operating a laminator to finalize graphics, utilizing internal software systems to manage and monitor jobs, and preparing finished jobs for shipping or production workflow. The position requires engaging in hands-on tasks for much of the shift, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
Requirements
- Capability to collaborate effectively with others and work in close proximity to team members.
- A sharp focus on detail is crucial for recognizing minor defects in finished products at close range.
- Readiness to provide assistance in other areas as required.
- Strong focus on detail.
- Proficient reading and comprehension abilities.
- Basic proficiency in English.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with Cut Vinyl is preferred. (cutting, weeding, and pre-masking)
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a machine operator is preferred.
- Prior experience in a sign shop or graphics production is preferred.
