About The Position

API Heat Transfer is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by a new mission and leadership, and is rapidly advancing towards a Lean Cultural Change. The Operations Team is committed to becoming a Lean Management powerhouse. The company is seeking a Machine Operator, Thread & Cut, to join their team and contribute to this evolving phase of API Heat Transfer.

Requirements

GED or High School diploma
Ability to read and work off of blue prints
Good verbal and written communication skills
1-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
Able to use and read measuring equipment (ie. tape measure)
Basic Computer Skills
Detail orientated
Ability to work well with others

Responsibilities

Set up and operate threading and cutting machines used for manufacturing of stock and contract parts.
Cuts and threads tie rods, cuts tubes and pipe, cuts / shears various bars, angles, punch holes in angles, cradles, cradle bars, type 500 shell pipe for all departments as per contract requirements.
Operate the tube bend machine.
Run the (2) Burr Oak tube cutters in automatic mode while operating the tube bender, ensuring these machines remain operational.
Maintain current physical inventory data, as instructed, of spacing tubing and tie rod stock and various angles and bar stock for Material Control Department.
