Requirements

GED or High School diploma
Read and work off of blue prints
Good verbal and written communication skills
1-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
Able to use and read measuring equipment (ie. tape measure)
Basic Computer Skills
Detail orientated
Ability to work well with others

Responsibilities

Set up and operate threading and cutting machines used for manufacturing of stock and contract parts.
Cuts and threads tie rods, cuts tubes and pipe, cuts / shears various bars, angles, punch holes in angles, cradles, cradle bars, type 500 shell pipe for all departments as per contract requirements.
Thread / Cut personnel will be assigned the responsibility to operate the tube bend machine.
Personnel operating the tube bender will also be responsible for running the (2) Burr Oak tube cutters in automatic mode.
All reasonable efforts must be made to keep these machines operational while the tube bender is being utilized.
Maintains current physical inventory data, as instructed, of spacing tubing and tie rod stock and various angles and bar stock for Material Control Department.
