About The Position

ProAmpac is a leading global flexible packaging manufacturing company. Our Holbrook, MA facility is looking to add a Machine Operator - Converting to our team. Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm.

Requirements

  • HS/GED required
  • 2-4 years' experience in a related field experience in a related field required
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely sets up, operates, and monitors converting machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals.
  • Completes converting machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met.
  • Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.
  • Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
  • Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
  • Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.
  • Completes all necessary documentation for internal or external use.
  • Effectively works with other departments or team members, such as machine technicians, supervisors, and quality control inspectors, to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they arise.
  • All other duties as assigned.
