About The Position

We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Machine Operator VI role. This role is part of a career lattice where our employees get rewarded and recognized for cross training and learning new skills. Team Members will be cross trained based on various tasks in support of production operations. The Machine Operator will perform as a coater operator on the facilities’ coating machine, working on the application of various types of adhesives to substrate in preparation for operations. They will follow work order instructions to determine specifications, materials, and adjustments to ensure quality coating and minimum downtime and waste. The role involves operating a computer, completing daily paperwork, and maintaining production records. The position requires performing various tasks in support of production operations, applying acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks, and working on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. The operator will exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and build productive internal/external working relationships. They will normally follow established procedures on routine work and require instructions only on new assignments. The role also involves learning and following standardized work, utilizing visual management, and developing professional expertise. Applying lean concepts, the operator will make and implement recommendations for process improvements. Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a HS or GED and equivalent relevant experience
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn ERP system
  • Ability to wear a respirator

Responsibilities
