The position is responsible for maintaining production line equipment performance required to meet schedule goals. Requirements

Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
Ability to perform basic mechanical functions.
Ability to understand the production schedule.

Responsibilities

Maintain production line equipment performance to meet schedule goals.
Minimize machine downtime through effective and efficient troubleshooting.
Complete machine changeovers within established SOP time frames.
Ensure machines are running at established SOP speeds.
Keep machines loaded with packaging materials.
Perform weekly machine Preventive Maintenance (PM).
Inspect and clean vacuum system, including filters and suction cups.
Inspect and clean dancing bar, pinch rollers, and nip rollers.
Inspect knife for damage.
Inspect and clean glue area.
Inspect heat tunnel belt for plastic build-up.
Inspect and clean safety panels.
Ensure correct case labels are being used and applied correctly.
Ensure trays are glued and overwrapped properly.
Ensure cases/trays are coded and printed correctly.
Collect quality samples and document quality checks as required.
Report any unresolved quality issues immediately.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.
Perform daily machine cleaning before and after production.
Help other team members when time permits.
Operate machines within the parameters of manufacturer specifications.
Never bypass safety features on machines like guards and switches.
Report any unsafe conditions, accidents/incidents, or near misses immediately to your supervisor/manager.
Wear PPE as required.
Follow safety and security policies and SOPs.
