About The Position

Rich’s, a family-owned food company, is seeking a Machine Operator for their Packaging team on the 2nd shift. This role is responsible for controlling machinery to mold ice cream cakes safely, hygienically, cost-effectively, and efficiently, meeting all company food safety and quality standards. The Machine Operator will also focus on maximizing product quality and attractiveness, supporting team production goals, and assisting the Casting Lead in supervising molding operations on the assigned line. Rich's is a global leader with annual sales exceeding $4 billion, operating in 100 locations worldwide.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of machine operator experience required.
  • Basic computer skills including Excel and Word.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in day-to-day decision making.
  • Punctual and reliable in work attendance.
  • Ability to organize and communicate to all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent English communication skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Bilingual speaker a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare casting materials and set up workstations.
  • Ensure equipment operates at efficiency standards while producing high-quality ice cream products safely, hygienically, cost-effectively, and efficiently, meeting company food safety and quality standards.
  • Perform necessary tasks to ensure a smooth process flow.
  • Confirm department adherence to safety practices and identify/correct potential hazards.
  • Assist the Lead as needed.
  • Comply with GMP, safety, and food safety standards at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
