About The Position

This is a temp-to-hire position for a Machine Operator (B). The role involves operating injection mold machines to produce plastic products, with overall responsibility for the production line from start to packaging. It also includes performing secondary operations, packing, maintaining a clean workstation, and tracking production outputs. Effective communication between shifts is essential for smooth operations.

Requirements

Basic Math Skills
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Responsibilities

Operate injection mold machine (automatic and semi-automatic) to produce plastics products
Overall line responsibility from production and packaging
Performs required steps of secondary operations with the use of hand tools and fixtures to process parts
Pack completed product into boxes with customized labels to ensure identification and traceability to customer requirements
Maintain clean and organized workstation
Completes daily scrap log
May grind runners and parts as required
Ensures product is produced packaged in correct quantities, in accordance with agreed specifications
Tracks production outputs and records quantities produced
Communicates with production operators on all shifts to ensure good pass down meetings
Performs visual and in-process inspections of parts during the manufacturing process to ensure quality
Use inspection equipment and hand tools when required
Removes finished product from molds; trims excess material from part, using clippers
Responsible for following safety rules and requirements
Inspects molding machines at specific intervals and completes required documentation
Monitor’s molding machines for proper operation and notify production supervisor of any problems
