About The Position

This role is for a Machine Operator Assistant on the 1st shift, working as part of a team to support a manufacturing operation. The goal is to increase productivity and decrease downtime and waste. The assistant will receive and follow directions from the Operator and/or Supervisor. Responsibilities include assisting with order setup, mounting printing and cutting dies, ink adjustments, and ensuring quality checks are performed throughout the production process. The assistant will also inspect the machine during operation, notify the Operator of any issues with part production, and assist in equipment cleanup. Adherence to all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures is required, as is maintaining the shop and equipment according to 5S Standards. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Ability to work the first shift.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operator to set up orders, mount printing and cutting dies, ink adjustments, and ensure quality checks are performed before, during and upon completion of each order.
• Inspect machine during run and notify Operator when acceptable parts are not being produced.
• Assist in cleanup of equipment.
• Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
