About The Position

Gran‑Tech Mfg., LLC (GTM) is adding a Machine Operator / General Labor team member to support our manufacturing operations. This entry‑level role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands‑on work, want to learn skilled manufacturing processes, and take pride in producing quality products. Prior machine operator experience is not required—training is provided. What matters most is your willingness to learn, reliability, and commitment to doing the job right.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
  • Basic math and measuring skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in how machines work
  • Ability to learn new tasks and processes quickly
  • Basic understanding of shop math and measurements (training provided)
  • Awareness of workplace safety practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Introductory knowledge of reading engineering prints or willingness to learn
  • Understanding of quality expectations and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Learn to operate and support various manufacturing machines used to produce material handling components
  • Load raw material into machines and assist with material handling throughout the production process
  • Use basic math, measuring tools, and engineering prints to set up and run jobs accurately
  • Follow work instructions and customer specifications to ensure product quality
  • Inspect parts for quality and report any issues to supervisors or team leads
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Safely load and unload materials from machines
  • Accurately measure parts and verify they meet specifications
  • Apply training to operate machines efficiently and consistently
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to complete production tasks
  • Adapt to new machines, processes, and job assignments as needed
