About The Position

The Machine Operator - Paint is responsible for setting up, operating, and shutting down powdercoat (blades) and liquid (holesaw) paint equipment. This role involves loading and unloading products, recognizing and reacting to equipment problems, making necessary adjustments, and inspecting products to ensure quality standards are met using a paint thickness gauge. The operator will also perform daily preventative maintenance, clean and change paint gun tips, conduct frequent walk-throughs to ensure proper equipment operation, manage paint levels, and maintain production pace while adhering to all safety requirements and practicing 5Ss.

Requirements

• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Basic math skills
• Basic mechanical skills
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of machine operation experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and shut down paint line
• Load/unload paint line with product
• Recognize and react to problems with equipment, make adjustments as required
• Inspect and verify product according to quality standards
• Use paint thickness gauge to verify paint thickness
• Hone turnover belt (powder application)
• Perform daily Preventative Maintenance (PM) on paint line equipment
• Inspect, clean, and change out tips on paint guns
• Perform frequent walk-throughs to ensure equipment is operating properly
• Change out and add paint as required
• Check and clean re-claim hoppers
• Maintain production pace and standards
• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
• Practice 5Ss
