About The Position
BlueScope is seeking skilled and detail-oriented individuals to operate and maintain machines that shape materials into high-quality components. Responsibilities
- Operate machines to cut, punch, bend, weld, or shape materials into specified components.
- Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, tablets, or other tools.
- Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts.
- Perform inspections using measuring tools and processes before, during, and after production to ensure materials meet exact specifications.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
- Maintain material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5-S practices.
