About The Position

The Machine Operator 2 is responsible for operating the Big Red sealer. This role involves setting up and operating the sealer, potentially using a computer to load printer software, and setting up/verifying the weigh scale. The operator will load and unload sealing equipment with product and packaging material, recognize and react to equipment problems, make necessary adjustments, and inspect/verify product according to quality standards. Collaboration with the Machine Technician to resolve equipment issues is expected, as is cleaning equipment to ensure proper operation. Responsibilities also include breaking down scrap packages, working effectively in small teams, accurately completing scrap tickets and daily production sheets, updating the hourly goal board, and maintaining production pace and standards. Adherence to all safety requirements and practice of 5Ss are mandatory.

Requirements

• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Basic math skills
• Basic mechanical skills
• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of machine operation experience preferred

Responsibilities
