About The Position

Set up, maintain, and operate basic food-processing machines that produce intermediate food products. The role works in a refrigerated food manufacturing plant and requires following product-quality, sanitation, food-safety, and workplace-safety requirements. Production demands may require overtime and evening or weekend scheduling.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, and speak English and be understood.
Work with attention to detail and safety standards.
Willingness to learn and improve.
Able to work closely and collaboratively with others as a team player.
Able to repetitively lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
Able to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating machinery.
Food industry experience.
English/Spanish bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

Operate basic machines to combine raw and processed ingredients into intermediate food products.
Set up machines for production runs, including loading materials and adjusting settings.
Observe machine operation to ensure quality and conformity with company guidelines.
Inspect parts against specifications and make adjustments or tool changes as needed to maintain quality specifications.
Clean and sanitize machines according to company guidelines and machine specifications.
Ensure product dates, weights, and temperatures meet established guidelines.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
Maintain a positive attitude toward people, equipment, and company policy.
Follow safety protocols and procedures, HACCP requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Maintain regular, reliable attendance and punctuality.
