About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to operate equipment used for applying conformal coating to electronic assemblies, as well as SMT Pick and Place, Through-Hole Component Insertion, Sequencing Machines, Wave Flow, and Reflow Solder Machines. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes at our Milwaukee facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 to 6 months of related manufacturing experience
- Ability to perform basic data entry transactions
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English for clear communication and documentation
- Basic math skills required (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to read and understand performance graphs
- Passing score on the Milwaukee Electronics Component Identification course
- Passing score on the IPC Workmanship standards exam
Responsibilities
- Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
- Set up machinery according to documented specifications
- Run products through machines with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Navigate computer programs to locate assembly instructions
- Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions
- Correct defects when possible or route defective materials for rework or repair
- Perform minor machine maintenance per documented instructions
- Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities
- Actively contribute as a positive, dependable team member
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Provide input to problem-solving processes and communicate effectively
- Attendance is an essential function of this on-site role
