About The Position

The Machine Operator 1 performs production work in a plant setting, including operating and monitoring machines, feeding machines, packing products, and checking products against quality standards. The role follows plant safety, quality, and food safety procedures; maintains a neat work area; records production and order information; and assists other workers as requested. This position is advertised for a weekend night shift. A $3,000 sign-on bonus and referral bonus are offered through December 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Follow plant safety procedures and guidelines.
• Know emergency procedures for power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, and other events.
• Wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Understand and identify Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
• Inform a supervisor about safety issues and immediately report workplace injuries or incidents.
• Participate in safety improvement activities, such as hazard identification, safety suggestions, and safety teams.
• Start machines using controls.
• Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
• Feed machines and monitor their speed during production.
• Perform production work, including feeding machines and packing a variety of products.
• Examine products to verify they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a neat work area.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records, and complete additional documentation as required.
• Assist other workers with specific tasks as requested.
• Follow plant quality practices, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Complete required food safety training and implement and comply with required food safety practices.
