About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency of CNC machines by managing coolant and lubrication systems. The Machine Oiler & Coolant Tech will perform routine checks, maintenance, and cleaning to ensure machines are running smoothly and safely. This position also involves adhering to safety procedures and environmental guidelines for waste disposal, and assisting maintenance personnel with basic upkeep.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic math skills.
Strong attention to detail and reliability.
Experience working in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Familiarity with CNC equipment, machine lubrication, or coolant systems.
Basic mechanical or maintenance experience.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Check, maintain, and replenish coolant levels in CNC machines.
Monitor coolant concentration using testing equipment and adjust as needed.
Fill and maintain machine lubrication systems with the appropriate oils and lubricants.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on CNC machines.
Clean coolant tanks, filters, and machine reservoirs.
Remove chips and debris from machines as needed.
Safely dispose of used coolant, oils, and waste materials according to company and environmental guidelines.
Inspect machines for fluid leaks, unusual noises, or maintenance concerns and report findings to Maintenance.
Maintain accurate maintenance and fluid level records.
Keep work areas clean and organized using 5S principles.
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
Assist maintenance personnel with basic machine upkeep and other duties as assigned.
