Machine Millwright Must be able to install, repair, replace and dismantle the machinery and heavy equipment used in industrial settings. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States. Austin is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
  • Minimum 5 years of Journeyman level experience.
  • NCCER, a Valid TWIC Card and Driver’s License.
  • Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands and fingers to perform assigned duties.
  • Positions may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, working at elevations, on uneven surfaces, or in confined spaces.
  • Employees must possess sufficient visual, hearing, communication, and motor skills to safely perform job responsibilities.
  • Employees must be able to read, comprehend, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies; exercise sound judgment; solve problems; maintain attention to detail; effectively manage stress; and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.
  • Must be able to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on industrial machinery, including CNC equipment, pumps, compressors, electric motors, VFDs, and other manufacturing systems.
  • Reading Blueprints: Analyzing technical drawings to determine exact dimensions and the sequence of cuts needed.
  • Programming: Using computer software to dictate cutting paths, speeds, and feed rates on CNC machines.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently to reduce production downtime.
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment.
  • Align machines and equipment during installation, using hoists, jacks, squares, and micrometers.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety regulations and ensure machinery is operating safely.
  • Implement and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and parts inventory.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication to repair or modify equipment as needed.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability and productivity.
  • Internally train production team members on equipment safety.
  • Safely operate powered mobile equipment including forklift, hoist, scissor lift, and pallet jack.
  • Assist with building maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
