About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Machine Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The Machine Maintenance Technician at Vertiv is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. This hands-on role supports production by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing equipment maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance management software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues on production equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production support requests to restore operations efficiently.
  • Install, modify, and maintain machinery, conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve equipment problems.
  • Perform inspections and identify opportunities for equipment improvements and reliability enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation within maintenance systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, safety, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production teams, engineering, and external vendors to complete repairs and equipment upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and Vertiv safety policies.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies, notifying leadership when replenishment is required.
  • Promote a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
