About The Position

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position supports safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. The Machine Maintenance Technician diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production equipment, including high-speed stamping presses, conveyors, material handling equipment, and supporting systems. This role works closely with operations to maximize equipment uptime, safety, quality, and productivity.   • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills required, including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications, email, and maintenance tracking systems (CMMS).
  • Lock-Out, Tag-out Certified; Crane Certified; Forklift Certified; Ladder and Sling Certified.
  • Read a tape measure, use micrometer, voltmeter, and calipers.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading.
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments, electrical test equipment, and blueprints.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Technical training in mechanical maintenance, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stamping operations to ensure plant equipment is operating, when necessary, through diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair. Issues may be mechanical or electrical.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnosing equipment failures and determine root causes to minimize downtime.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Maintain maintenance records and work orders in company systems.
  • Work with stamping operations to focus on improving productivity through the use of improvements in machines, materials, or processes.
  • Install and troubleshoot any new equipment as directed.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
  • Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.
