About The Position

The Maintenance Machine Technician is responsible for high quality and effective repair of equipment. This role will also work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. The technician will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. This position requires providing excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism, and ensuring appropriate and detailed records for time, parts, supplies, purchases, and repairs. Requirements

  • Previous experience doing maintenance on industrial equipment and strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
  • High School diploma, GED or vocational training/certification.
  • 3 years experience on the same or similar industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC and overall machine troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC repairs such as replace control devices, switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments in a timely fashion.
  • Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment including CNC Machinery, Presses, Plasma Cutters, etc.
  • Gather and maintain a complete set of required tools, including calipers, electrical meters and other diagnostic and measurement devices.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to define problem areas and assist with resolution.
  • Recommend improvements and/or changes to PM systems/tasks when applicable
  • Follow standard practices and all governmental regulations and laws relating to powered equipment.
  • Train team members on set up, lock out, and operation fabrication equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and participate in safety programs to improve operational uptime and equipment life.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
  • RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation, shop specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 30.
