About The Position

As a Machine Maintenance Technician, you will maintain production equipment and machinery in support of manufacturing operations. The role involves managing work orders through CMMS software; documenting repairs, setups, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures; and inspecting, adjusting, programming, and repairing machinery. Equipment includes CNC routers, CNC fabric cutters, pumps and spray equipment, hoists, and robotics. Work includes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs. The technician also supports plant layout and equipment moves, recommends modifications and spare parts, coordinates with vendors and internal teams, and helps ensure reliable equipment and effective machine changeovers and setups. The position requires occasional on-call status and overtime as requested.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, or work experience demonstrating performance competency.
More than 5 years of machine maintenance repair experience.
Comply with S2 safety policies, practices, regulations, and procedures.
Ability to obtain a Tiara Yachts forklift, aerial platform, or other equipment operator’s license.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics.
Demonstrated technical aptitude for mechanical reasoning.
Well-motivated work style and excellent written and verbal skills.
Willingness to participate in internal and external continuing education workshops as necessary.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with some bending and twisting.
Ability to stand, bend, and twist for 50% of a typical 8-hour workday.
Experience safely operating maintenance shop equipment such as drill presses, all types of saws, and hand power tools; basic MIG welding experience.
Ability to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
Willingness to work on a team or individually and follow manufacturing instructions and processes.
Must use required PPE, including safety glasses or goggles and hearing protection, as mandated by work area.
Fluency in English.
Ability to work overtime as requested.
Position requires occasional on-call status.

Responsibilities

Execute and manage work orders through CMMS software.
Contribute to plant layout and the move, relocation, and installation of plant machinery and manufacturing equipment.
Document repairs, setups, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures to support equipment reliability and quality and improve equipment operation.
Inspect, adjust, program, and repair machinery, mechanisms, and equipment according to assigned work orders.
Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on equipment, including CNC routers, CNC fabric cutters, pumps and spray equipment, hoists, and robotics.
Maintain a clear, organized, and safe working area, tools, and equipment.
Provide mentorship to coworkers and Manufacturing team members as directed.
Recommend and participate in systems and machine modifications with Management and Engineering.
Recommend spare parts for inventory to support equipment reliability.
Work with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure effective and timely machine changeovers and setups.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Communicate and coordinate with outside vendors.
Perform housekeeping and other job-related duties.
Promote a safe and clean work environment.
Follow manufacturing instructions and understand processes; work as part of a team or individually.
Follow company safety guidelines and required PPE policies.
