About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will perform predictive and preventive maintenance analysis to anticipate and circumvent equipment failures, thereby enhancing uptime and reducing costs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5-10 years experience preferred as a CNC Maintenance Technician
  • Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals and electric motors and controls
  • Knowledge and ability of rigging equipment and components

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree with focus in Electrical or Controls Engineering
  • Preferred knowledge SAP-PM and Step 7

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical).
  • Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield.
  • Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance).
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
  • Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Prepare for new/relocated equipment installations by sizing, wiring, piping, ventilation, etc. according to incoming equipment requirements.
  • Receive, rig, unload, transport, install, assemble, troubleshoot, and fine tune new/relocated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on existing equipment.
  • Assist engineers in identifying worn or damaged parts that may be needed to complete the repair.
  • Interface with and assist outside contractors, OEM’s and Technology Process Support groups, in all attempts to install new and repair or upgrade existing processes.
  • Safely handle hazardous materials and hazardous wastes.
  • Interface with in-plant Computerized Machine Maintenance System to show status of work and time spent on job.
