Requirements

  • Good leadership, organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge on Machine Maintenance machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Dependable and motivated.
  • Good past work experience.
  • High school diploma / GED Equivalent.
  • Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms and horns on fork trucks.
  • Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact other coworkers in other areas of the complex.
  • Stereoscopic vision of 20/40 or better and peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater and ability to read 10–12-point font at a distance of 12-18 inches.
  • Able to complete an "Ishihara color vision test".
  • Able to work at heights.
  • Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.

Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor Kronos.
  • Check on Machine Maintenance machinery status (i.e. running or down).
  • Consult Group Leaders on projects. Review daily efficiency reports and consult with Group Leaders on daily efficiencies and downtime.
  • Work on problem Machine Maintenance machines and equipment.
  • Work on special projects. Address personnel problems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Machine Maintenance machinery and equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring all standards of ISO and SQF are being met.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities in the Machine Maintenance department.
