About The Position

The Machine Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment. This role involves inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine the root cause of problems. The mechanic will disassemble machines, repair or replace broken parts, and adjust functional parts as necessary. Additionally, they will clean and lubricate parts, order replacement parts, inspect completed repairs, and ensure equipment is returned to specifications. This position also involves adapting procedures and tools for special needs and serving as a resource for complex problem-solving.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
2 years prior machine maintenance experience
Experience with basic hand tools and power tools
HS/GED
Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment
Knowledge of machine tools
Mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications

Responsibilities

Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine root cause of problems.
